Miro's official export guide states that direct PPT and PNG export are not currently offered. Use PDF or an image workflow instead, and verify current documentation before relying on an older screenshot or tutorial.
How to Export a Miro Board as an Image
- Open the board menu in the upper-left area.
- Choose Save as image.
- Select the area, frame, or whole-board content to capture.
- Choose an available size or vector option for your plan.

Create and order frames before exporting because each frame becomes a page in a standard PDF export. Then open the board export menu, choose Save as PDF, select the available quality, and export. For very large boards, divide the content into manageable frames and inspect the output for missing or wrapped text.
How to Export Miro Text to CSV or Excel
Select the relevant board content and choose Export to CSV. Open the downloaded CSV in Excel or another spreadsheet tool. This is a text extraction workflow, not a faithful conversion of the visual canvas: ordinary CSV export does not retain the board's spatial relationships.
What About PowerPoint or Another Miro Account?
Miro's current help page says there is no direct PPT export. A practical workaround is to export frames as PDF or images and place those files into a presentation. The screenshot below is retained to illustrate that workflow, not to claim a current native PPT export.
To move a board between accounts or teams, use the sharing, duplication, template, or backup options available to the owner and plan. Do not rely on copy and paste alone for a business-critical transfer; confirm the destination owner, permissions, and embedded assets.
Step 1: In the source account, open the board's sharing controls and create access for the intended destination account. Choose the permission level the destination user needs, and confirm that external sharing is allowed by the organization.
Step 2: Sign in to the destination Miro account and open the board through the shared link. Check that it is the correct board and that the account has permission to duplicate it.
Step 3: Use the board's Duplicate option when available, then choose the destination team. Open the copy and verify its owner, content, links, and sharing settings. If the option is unavailable, ask the source owner or administrator to review the board's content settings and plan permissions.
Export Checklist Before Migration or Archiving
- Confirm that the owner or co-owner allows export.
- Record board owners, guests, editors, integrations, comments, and external files.
- Create a PDF or image reference before changing the source.
- Open every exported file and inspect text, frame order, links, and images.
- Keep the source board until the archive or destination copy passes review.
Use a small verification log for important boards. Record the export date, source owner, selected format and quality, file location, reviewer, and result. If the file will satisfy a record-retention requirement, confirm that the chosen format, storage location, access controls, and retention period meet that policy; a convenient download is not automatically an approved archive.
Troubleshoot a Missing Export Option
If an export command is missing, first confirm that you are using a supported desktop browser or the desktop app and that the board owner permits copying and exporting. Then check the plan required for the chosen quality or format, whether the content is inside a frame, and whether the browser blocked the download. Ask the owner to export the board when collaborator content settings prevent it.
